Reflection:

It was interesting for once doing a project that is not a presentation based. We were able to make full use of what we had learnt during the lectures and tutorials. It was interesting to further learn more about Leonardo works through our mini research on how one body part is equivalent to another body part. So choosing a research topic for us was not a problem because there were varieties for us to pick. But problem soon arose when we start planning to do the actual study because we do not know what to expect. The first difficulty we faced was that we could not decide on how we measure our readings. So were stucked there for a very long time. But we soon found a way after consulting a friend. After that, things just went smoothly for us. Planning for our data collection was a breeze for us. We felt quite confident in doing it. We must say that we did the data collection well because not only did we manage to do it fast but also we were very organized and aware of our own roles. Apart from playing our own roles, we made sure that the rest do the roles properly because we did not want to commit mistakes that will affect the data collection. When it comes to data analysis part, we were quite unsure on what data analyses were required. We asked around and consulted our lecturer for further clarification. With that, it was quite easy to do.

By doing this project, we learnt more about in depth on what is statistic. We have all heard about statistic but never knew what it was all about. By taking this module, it was an eye opener to us. We also realized that with this module we can consider another career option for us. Statistic may be difficult to understand but once we got the hang of it by practicing and going for lectures as well as tutorials, it is not that hard as we thought it'll be.

Data Analsis - Systemetric Measures

So our final statement,
There is a positive strong relationship between lenth of forearm and feet.
And we reject our null hypothesis.

Data Analysis - Linear Regression

With reference to the coeffiecient table,

C ( Y intercept) = 0.823

M = 0.996 ( Positve Gradient )

Linear equation:

y = mx + c

y = 0.996x + 0.823

Data Analysis - Pearson's R

From the above table,
Pearson's R = 0.770
Since P = 0.005 , we take the Level of significant (P) as 0.05
N = 30 (sample size is 30)
Therefore, P is more than 0.05 hence we reject our null hypothesis.
Also since R = 0.770,
There is a positive strong significant relationship between the length of the forearm and the feet.

Data Analysis - Best Fit Line

Through the best fit line in this scatter plot, we can see that there is a positive relationship between the length of the forearm and the length of the feet.

As you can see, there is one point that is much deviated from the rest of the points.
This is because when we take a look at our raw data, we found out that the difference of length between their hand and feet usually range between 0 - 2.35 cm. However, there was this particular participant whose difference between he's forearm and feet was not within that range, instead it was 4.1 cm.
Therefore, he could be the reason why that one point is really deviated from the rest.

So as a group, we thought about it to see if we could have cause that wrong reading.
But we realized soon after that we made no mistake during the data collection.
Because all of us made sure that the people measuring the participants, followed what we had plan during our planning for data collection. All of us witness that they measured the reading twice consistently with the same measuring instrument and at the standardization landmarks. Hence we decided to see our lecturer to ask if this plot if ok.
To our relieved, she said it was ok and told us maybe the data is just like that.

To find out if there is a relationship between the length of the forearm and the length of the foot , we do a scatter plot
